TRUSS PIPE®

TRUSS PIPE®

TRUSS PIPE is a thermoplastic composite, double-wall pipe with concentric inner and outer walls braced by a truss-type structure. The truss voids are filled with lightweight Mearlcrete for additional stiffness and compressive strength. A semi-rigid gravity sewer pipe that provides 200 psi minimum pipe stiffness and unparalleled deflection.

Gravity Sewer Pipe with 200 psi Stiffness

TRUSS PIPE® is a thermoplastic composite, double-wall pipe with concentric inner and outer walls braced by a truss-type structure. The truss voids are filled with lightweight Mearlcrete for additional stiffness and compressive strength. The result is a semi-rigid pipe that provides 200 psi minimum pipe stiffness and unparalleled deflection – the ideal thermoplastic gravity sewer PVC pipe.

Traditional rigid pipe materials can rupture when subjected to non-uniform loading, as they lack the ability to adjust to trench load variations. TRUSS PIPE combines high stiffness with flexibility; allowing it to resist variable loads while maintaining shape control. And with more than forty years of in-service use and hundreds of millions of feet installed, TRUSS PIPE is the unchallenged performer.

TRUSS PIPE’s glossy smooth interior with a Manning’s “n” value of 0.009 reduces internal flow resistance.

TRUSS PIPE can be installed in variable trench conditions to more than 40 feet and withstand H-20 live loading with less than one feet of cover.

Its strength, stiffness, joint tightness, durability, and economy have made TRUSS PIPE the choice for engineers, specifiers, and contractors.
