Kansas City opened a new NASCAR racetrack in Spring 2001. The state-of-the-art, 1.5 mile tri-oval facility is suitable for all types of racing. Access to the infield is a three-lane CON/SPAN® tunnel that easily accommodates three Fleetwood motor homes side-by-side with room to spare.

“This is probably the biggest tunnel at any race track around” Kansas Speedway President Grant Lynch said. “We want those race fans to be able to get in and out of Kansas Speedway quickly” The 300-foot-long vehicle tunnel enters the infield between turns three and four. “We’ve thought of everything for this speedway” Lynch added. “If you see it driving on the highway, it’ll fit in Kansas Speedway’s tunnel”
