Technical Description:
Eagle Square is a 13-acre mixed-use development, which sits at the intersection of Atwells Avenue, Eagle Street & Valley Street. Located in the heart of what many national publications have called the “Hottest City in the Northeast”, Eagle Square combines retail, commercial, and residential condominiums in a spectacular center adjacent to Federal Hill, the Promenade District and Mt. Pleasant.
Contech Engineered Solutions soon became a part of the City of Providence’s downtown revitalization project. The city wanted an aesthetic centerpiece for this commercial shopping center project. As a result, two matching Contech Capstone® vehicular truss bridges for entrances to the development were provided that met both the aesthetic requirement and economics for the project. As a growing residential neighborhood, Eagle Square has nearly 2,500 high-end residential units under construction or planned in the immediate area. In addition, more office space is being developed in the area including the recently completed Rising Sun Mills comprised of 250 apartments and 100,000 square feet of office space. Eagle Square is the regular shopping destination for these residents and employees.
