Technical Description:
There are nearly 20 CON/SPAN® structures, thus far, in the 600-acre, high profile ski resort and residential community of Deer Crest, in Park City, Utah. The 2002 Winter Olympics in nearby Salt Lake City spurred dramatic growth in the area for tourists as well as residents.
The various CON/SPAN® structures allow skiers – via “ski bridges” or “ski tunnels”– to cross the winding roads that connect different parts of the development within the Wasatch Mountains. CON/SPAN®’s highly aesthetic arch shape fits beautifully in the landscape and complements the luxurious feel of the community’s million-dollar home sites, deluxe hotels, condominiums and world-class ski runs. When the project is completed, eight ski runs will cross the development, allowing homeowners and visitors to “ski out of their back door” and access the adjacent Deer Park ski resort.
