As part of the Fort Washington Way project to connect I-71 to I-75 along the riverfront in Cincinnati, a roadway underpass was needed under I-71/U.S. 50 eastbound and westbound to provide access from downtown to One Lytle Place Apartments and the riverfront.

A CON/SPAN bridge system from Contech was chosen for the tunnel solution because it’s innovative, economic design stands apart from any other system and its distinctive arch action utilizes fast, set-in-place construction.

The City of Cincinnati installed 190 lineal feet of 42-foot span x 12-foot rise units on pedestal walls with both a horizontal and vertical curved alignment.
