Major Airport Storm Sewer Improvements
Dallas, Texas

DuroMaxx® SRPE Storm Sewer
~2,700 LF of 120-inch diameter
Installation Date: August 2025

At one of the world’s busiest airports, infrastructure upgrades demand solutions that balance performance, longevity, and constructibility. Contech worked closely with the consulting engineer and the contractor to provide a resilient storm sewer system featuring approximately 2,700 LF of 120-inch DuroMaxx SRPE with 120-inch inline elbow fittings. Designed to handle 40 feet of fill, the installation was reinforced with cementitious material extending 2 feet beyond, below, and above the pipe.

Vista Pacific Commerce
Oceanside, California

UrbanPond® Concrete
Detention System
Installation Date: May 2025

The site required a space efficient stormwater detention system within a shallow footprint due to the large building, storm drain easement, and parking demands. An 8-foot UrbanPond system maximized storage while minimizing space, allowing gravity drainage to the existing public storm drain. Downstream of a biofiltration basin, the system provided quick, efficient installation with native backfill.

SH21 Wildlife Overpass at Cervidae Peak
Boise, Idaho

BEBO® Concrete Arch Bridge
54’ Span x 26’-4” Rise x 150’ Length
Installation Date: July 2023

To improve motorist safety and reduce wildlife collisions, Idaho’s first wildlife overpass was built on State Highway 21 using Contech’s BEBO Precast Arch System. Designed for migrating mule deer and elk, the $7.5 million project proved effective, with animals using the structure within a month of completion. The overpass not only restored habitat connectivity but also earned national recognition, winning AASHTO’s President’s Transportation Award for “Environment and Planning.”

Gregory CR 27 Realignment
Burke, South Dakota

Triple 120” diameter CHS™ with
HEL-COR® Culvert
Installation Date: September 2025

As part of a roadway realignment and grading project along County Road 27, a failed culvert was replaced with a triple-barrel 120-inch HEL-COR with a CHS (Culvert Headwall System) Solution. This innovative system combines CMP culverts with prefabricated headwalls and wingwalls, providing a durable, efficient, and long-term drainage solution. Additionally, the prefabricated headwall panels accelerated construction and providing substantial cost savings.
