Water Quality Protection

Water Quality Protection

Stormwater pollution, otherwise known as nonpoint source pollution, is one of the leading causes of water quality problems. All new developments, retrofits, or site expansions that exceed one acre or are in an urbanized area must implement a stormwater management plan for their site, according to the EPA. Our comprehensive line of treatment technologies means optimum choice and design flexibility for meeting your local regulations and site requirements.

Hydrodynamic Separation for Water Quality

Our hydrodynamic separation products (including the CDS, Vortechs, and VortSentry HS) are reliable, easy to install, and offer high-performance, proven, stormwater pollutant removal. The systems are widely accepted for effective solids removal and can be designed to achieve your site treatment goals - including TMDL requirements for TSS and trash.

Filtration Systems for Water Quality

The Stormwater Management StormFilter, Jellyfish Filter, and MFS systems provide the highest level of treatment and meet the most stringent regulatory requirements. These low maintenance systems combine pretreatment and filtration, and are able to target site-specific pollutants to meet your water quality goals. Our field-proven products have earned hundreds of standalone BMP approvals from regulatory agencies nationwide.

Biofiltration for Water Quality Protection

Use Filterra® to create the small-scale, decentralized treatment required in LID designs. Multiple units in a parking lot or along roadways will create several drainage areas providing treatment throughout your site. Filtration through a deep media bed provides a high level of treatment and some runoff reduction. Open top systems with trees or shrubs provide more landscaping options.
