Vehicular Truss Finish Options

To customize your truss project, choose from weathering steel, painted steel or galvanized steel finishes to meet your site's needs.

Hot Dip Galvanized Steel

  • Material is specified as ASTM 572, galvanized.
  • Galvanizing to be done in accordance with ASTM A-123.
  • Corrosion protection process by which entire truss and components are submerged into galvanizing kettles.
  • Galvanizing is not a coating like paint, but actually becomes part of the steel.
  • U.S. Bridge offers a 35 year warranty on our galvanized structures.
  • Additional paint systems may be applied after galvanizing.  This process is known as a duplex system.

Weathering Steel

  • ASTM designation of A588
  • In the proper climates and applications, this material provides its own corrosion protection.
  • Requires no painting or maintenance.
  • Specified for its aesthetic properties.
  • Non-invasive appearance blends well with rural or natural settings such as parks

Painted Steel

  • State specified / approved paint systems can be applied to our trusses.
  • U.S. BRIDGE has received a “Sophisticated Paint Endorsement” from the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction).
  • 10 year Warranty on painted finish.
