LEED Rating System
Developments that meet or exceed LEED performance benchmarks are awarded points by the USGBC after the project is completed. The number of points earned determines the level of LEED certification the project receives (Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum).
LEED Certification
Certification by LEED can help builders and developers receive more lucrative projects, financial incentives and credits, and significant acknowledgments for their efforts.
US Green Building Council

The USGBC has developed the LEED® Green Building Rating System™ which establishes voluntary performance standards in five areas: sustainable site development, material and resource selection, water savings, energy efficiency, and indoor environmental quality.
